COT I Human DNA
Exhibitor
BIORON GmbH
COT I Human DNA is made exclusively from placental DNA of male progeny. The production process is optimized so the highly repetitive elements of the Human DNA are enriched in an average size distribution of 50 - 300 bp. This gives BIORON´s COT I Human DNA unique characteristics that make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
It is used to suppress cross-hybridization to human repetitive sequences in various assays and enables the specific hybridizations to a chromosomal target site of probes. It is used in applications such as in-situ hybridizations (e.g. FISH) or filter / microarrays. In NGS technologies, COT I Human DNA is used as blocking reagent for non-specific sequences, which leads to higher on-target reading.
The product is available with different fragment size distributions, in various concentrations and in two analysis variants with specific measurement methods: photometric or fluorometric. These parameters can be adjusted to customers´ needs in bulk quantities.
Each lot is tested for the absence of HIV, HBV, HCV and does not contain components of animal origin.
